The leadership structure for SAAL is composed of a Board of Directors. Elections are held every 2-3 years. Committee membership is determined annually during the same time as elections.

Members of the Board are elected for two-three year terms. Elections are hosted during fall and individual ballots will be sent via email to SAAL members. Transition of officers occurs during January with off/on boarding of its members.
Members of SAAL can indicate interest in serving on a committee during the election ballot as well as via its member surveys annually. Transition of committee members occurs every January. From time to time, positions may become available and will be advertised on the SAAL listserv and this website. SAAL members are welcomed and encouraged to engage with the SAAL Board and share comments, feedback, or suggestions to support the success of the organization.
